Zaxby's Multi-Unit Operator Opens 5th Location In South Carolina

South Carolina multi-unit operator Dan Ward isn't allowing Covid-19 to interfere with his growth plans. He's just opened his fifth Zaxby's location in the Palmetto State, this time in Chapin.

Ward is part of a breed of multi-unit franchisees continuing to adjust and grow their operations despite the pandemic. Ward opened his newest restaurant with drive-thru and curbside pick-up service only. He plans to have a grand opening of the dining room as soon as state and federal laws allow.

"We're thrilled to open a Zaxby's in the Chapin area, and we're eager to get involved in the community," says Ward. "The new restaurant is perfectly situated near the interstate for travelers, but also close to the town center, offering a convenient option for residents."

His new restaurant has brought 44 new jobs to the Chapin community. His four other Zaxby's locations are in Manning, Lexington and West Columbia.

The Athens, Georgia-based Zaxby's has Zaxby's has more than 900 locations in 17 states.
