Popular East Coast Restaurant Cosi(R) Opens Its First Texas Store Oct. 1 in Sunset Valley near Austin
Oct 01, 2007 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Cosi, Inc.:
WHAT: A franchisee of Cosi, Inc., opens the first Cosi(R)
restaurant in Texas Oct. 1 at Sunset Valley Homestead Village
Shopping Center in Sunset Valley, southwest of Austin. The
new store is part of a statewide expansion by Cosi that will
include two Austin-area stores and one in San Antonio by the
end of the year. Other Texas locations are planned in 2008.
Cosi(R) is a national premium convenience restaurant chain
known throughout the East Coast and Midwest for its crackly-
crust artisan flatbread baked in open-flame hearth ovens that
provide the foundation for an all-day menu of hearth-baked
sandwiches, salads, pizzas and other everyday-gourmet
favorites.
The arrival of the 133-store national chain in Texas is being
fueled in part by transplanted East Coast and Midwest natives
who have brought a passion for the restaurant with them to
the Lone Star State.
